A Thousand Times a Day

I wake up in the morning
Before the sunlight paints the sky
The twinkling stars delight my heart
The cool moon soothes my eyes

I deeply breathe the gentle breeze
That carries on its wing
The fragrance of the early morn
And other lovely things

Thank You, Lord

And all throughout the day, Lord
I see Your plans unfold
I watch from hour to hour
How in Your hands You hold

My whole entire day, Lord
It's all within Your care
But it's only by Your mercy
Of this fact I'm made aware

Thank You, Lord

Each day's filled with blessings
So grateful do I feel
From the early morn till late at night
Your hand's in all I see

For the wonders that You bless me with
Lord, what else can I say?
I feel like saying, "Thank You, Lord!"
About a thousand times a day
I feel like saying, "Thank You, Lord!"
About a thousand times a day

And when the evening sun goes down
And colors leave the sky
I smell the blossoms on the wind
That whispers softly by

And as I lay me down to sleep
So grateful for the night
The quietness inspires me
And fills me with delight

Thank You, Lord

Each day's filled with blessings
So grateful do I feel
From the early morn till late at night
Your hand's in all I see

For the wonders that you bless me with
Lord, what else can I say?
I feel like saying, "Thank You, Lord!"
About a thousand times a day
I feel like saying, "Thank You, Lord!"
About a thousand times a day
I feel like saying, "Thank You, Lord!"
About a thousand times a day
I feel like saying, "Thank You, Lord!"
About a thousand times a day
